Lyricist: Songwriting made easy app for iPhone and iPad

Lyricist is an app that was designed to meet the demands of both professional and non-professional songwriters. With a no-nonsense approach to interface design, we removed the clutter found in other songwriting apps and focused on what’s most important—streamlining the creative process. With less in the way, your creativity can flow without constraint.

There are only three components at the heart of the app: project folders, songs that belong to a project folder, and notes that belong to either a project, a song, or neither in the case of a general note. Simple as that!

We designed this app to achieve three important qualities helpful to all songwriters: flexibility, organization, and speed… And we nailed it!

Features:
• Group your songs together in a way that suits your individual needs. For the singer/songwriter, you can create project folders, each representing a different album.

• Likewise, professionals who write music for others can create projects that represent the artist, genre, publisher, etc. you are writing the songs for.

• And for you freewriters, there’s already a pre-created project folder called “Uncategorized” where you can keep your bricks until you’re ready to build a castle.

Each project folder and song have their own independent note section. This way, your notes stay organized, leaving no reason to wonder which item it belongs to. There is also a general notes section that is accessed from the main page (Projects View). This is useful for capturing or brainstorming project ideas or album concepts you may want to undertake in the future.

All of your content is stored securely on your phone and automatically synchronized to our secure server. This means that you never have to worry about losing your songs no matter what happens to your phone or the data on it. Simply re-download the app and enter your email address and password you used to create your account the first time you used the app.

As you’ll notice, Lyricist is very simple and very effective at doing what it was designed for—writing great songs!
